Project Description
POC Pothole Detection is a proof-of-concept system for detecting road damage on Indonesian toll roads in real time. A webcam mounted on a vehicle captures road surface images while GPS provides the longitude and latitude of each detection. Road distress is classified into two main categories: potholes and cracks. Crack types include fatigue (alligator) cracking, longitudinal cracking, transverse cracking, block cracking, and edge cracking. My role was to build the road damage dataset and develop the detection program capable of identifying potholes and cracks, then transmitting the damage data in real time.
